Following graduation from the University of Illinois and discharge from the U.S. Marine Corps in 1963, Len held positions in the trust departments of Continental Bank and State National Bank in Evanston, Illinois. At both institutions, Len's primary responsibility involved administering estates and trusts that held ownership positions in privately held businesses. Len took over management responsibility for the trust department of Upper Avenue National Bank of Chicago in 1971. The bank and the trust department specialized in handling the affairs of the owners of privately held businesses. Since Len left the trust industry in 1974, he has owned, consulted with and held operating positions on boards of directors of privately held businesses. The primary focus in all of his relationships has been financial strategy and strategic planning. Len has always been involved in volunteer work and today devotes at least 25% of his time to these endeavors. The focus of these efforts has also been financial strategy and strategic planning. The LSW process is based on Len's thirty years of experience developing for owners of privately held businesses Financial Goals and the Strategies to achieve them. |
